Crystal River, Florida Trip
January 25th - 27th, 2008

I have two rooms left.

This trip runs $345.00 per person for certified divers, students who need checkout dives pay $445.00. We will be staying at the Crystal River resort which is an extreamly nice property.

What you get to do and see: Start the morning snorkeling with the curious and playful manatees in Crystal Rivers 72 degree springs. These wonderful, gentle mammals come up to the surface for a friendly petting or an occasional belly rub. After enjoying the incredible experience with the manatee, scuba dive into 30 feet of open water at Kings Spring. An abundance of fish hang around outside the entrance of the King Spring cavern. From there, the divers proceed on the adventure lead by the instructor or dive master into an open cavern that has fish, crabs, fossils; the maximum depth is 50'. This is a great adventure that is safe and fun - even for the novice! Non-diving guests are welcome, their cost is $270.00 and they can snorkel for free.

Includes:  2 days of diving, tanks, BDC, Regulator, Wet suit use, weights, weight belt, and taxes.

We don't include: Meals and transportation.

Newest SCUBA Diver training now. Bryan Givens, our Assistant Instructor and his wife Emily are training a new SCUBA diver as you read this. So far this new diver has 6 months of in water training and is expected to surface in April. Please keep Bryan and Emily in your prayers as they prepare to welcome their bundle of joy. His c-card will restrict him to diving in bath tubs for a few years, but we don't think he will mind.

FREE FREE FREE    I like free. We are hosting a Free open SCUBA night at the Green Hills Family YMCA. You will need to provide your own equipment. We will run Free SCUBA reviews. Mark your calendars for May 10th at 7:00. Call the Green Hills Y to reserve a spot. Space in the pool is limited. If you need, we can rent gear to those without it for$8.00 per person.

> Tips N' tricks

One of the best tips anyone can give is to stay current. Diving and diving often is the key. If you can'tstay wet then take advantage of the free open scuba night at the YMCA.All you need to do is bring your c-card and gear. These night are opento any certified diver. Former students of mine who are not yet checked out are also welcome. We hope you will spreed the word about these nightsand bring a friend. It is a great way for them to get wet and see whatthe YMCA has to offer.
